RevPower Control Software

Revolution RevPower control software has taken another leap forward. Revolution's RevPower for Windows sequencing and control system, featuring the SEQ2 sequence file format, is the most versatile scrolling sign sequencing system available.

Central to the Revolution system is a programmable pattern of frames called a sequence. A sequence is a series of events, and each event contains information about a frame of art, light levels, speed of frame travel, and frame display time. Events have a resolution of 1/25th of a second.

The Revolution SEQ2 cue system allows multiple sequences to be uploaded into a Revolution sign. Realtime cues are then used to trigger the playing of events within these sequences. A cue specifies any date and time over a 30-year period, to a resolution of 1 minute.

Each event within a Revolution sequence also includes a target sign ID, so a master sign can send unique events to specific signs on a Revolution sign network. Different signs can be doing complementary things, all controlled from one master sign.

Realtime scheduling of Revolution ads resembles the scheduling of radio or television spots, with peak and off-peak times and varying levels of frequency and exposure. High budget advertisers can own, for example, an entire subway station at 5:00pm, while various smaller budget advertisers can be displayed throughout the mid day and late night.

A suite of easy-to-use software tools are provided to create sequences and cues. The most common kind of sequence -- a simple repeating pattern of frames -- can be created in seconds with the Revolution SEQ2 Sequence Creation Wizard.

This level of scheduling allows more revenue to be generated with Revolution signs than with any competing print-quality display system. Top advertisers can buy more, while smaller advertisers can purchase exposure that was previously out of reach.

The Revolution Display System is also ideal for exhibits and displays in museums and galleries. Revolution signs may be synchronized with audio devices, push buttons, and other interactive display components. For example, a motion sensor could be used to invoke a cue, rather than a clock time.

Revolution Group Config (RGC)

When setting up signs on a network, Revolution Group Configuration (RGC) takes care of setting all parameters for all signs. After selecting master and slave sign IDs with a graphical interface, click the Configure button and sit back while our program does all the work. You can create group configuration files in advance so all you have to do on site is connect to the signs and click the Configure button. RGC configuration files can also be prepared by Revolution and emailed to clients.

RGC includes extensive online help, including a glossary of terms. Revolution programmers are always available to assist and consult on tasks to make your experience with Revolution products as rewarding and profitable as possible. Revolution also provides programming and training services in all aspects of our technology.

SEQ2 Sequence Creation Wizard

Creating standalone sequences is easy using the SEQ2 Sequence Creation Wizard. Our new SEQ2 sequence format is more powerful than our original SEQ format, but you don't need to trouble yourself with any of that to get started. The Wizard makes the creation of simple sequences and synchronized groups of signs almost effortless.

RevSEQ2

When you and your advertisers are ready to get sophisticated and create complex choreography, we have a program for that too. There's a little more learning involved, because there are many powerful features. Master signs can individually control multiple slave signs on unique IDs, so connected signs don't have to be moving in unison. This allows light chases, staggered frame changes, and other animation effects to attract more viewers -- you don't need a computer on site anymore to play sequences that make full use of Revolution networking!

These dazzling display features are included with every Revolution RevMatrix and RevElite sign, and Revolution technical support can help you get started created eye-catching sequences.

RevSEQ2 is also the application where realtime cues are created. Use the RevSEQ2 CueBuilder to assign calendar dates and times to named events in your SEQ2 sequences. With this new SEQ2 functionality, there is nothing you cannot schedule.

Scheduling ads in Revolution signs resembles scheduling radio and television spots. Now you can sell peak and off-peak times and varying levels of frequency and exposure. You can even schedule frames for one-time display during special events.

The power of realtime scheduling increases the revenue generating power of scrolling signs as an advertising medium. It also allows Revolution signs to be synchronized with other media -- a sponsor ad can scroll into position at the same time their audio ad is playing on a popular radio station.

Seamless Integration with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Our latest software is integrated with Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, and WinXP. We've added right-click verbs for our file types using Microsoft's file association services. Find an SEQ2 sequence file on your hard drive (or the Internet) and right-click to directly upload it to connected Revolution signs. Or right-click on an RGC file to open Revolution Group Config (RGC) and start setting up your sign network.

Your most recent Revolution files automatically appear in the Windows XP My Recent Documents folder.

RevPower software only works with Revolution scrolling signs. Visit our RevPower technical support page for more information and request a demo version of our applications.
